Q: My husband has multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). He has been in complete remission for 5 yrs. He has not been on
any medication for years. He has a blood test and 24 hr urine test
monthly. My concern is he recently had a blood test. It shows his blood platelets are 149, his bun is 18, and his creatine is 1.3. His blood
platelets use to be over 200. Why are they dropping. Is there something
you can do to raise your blood platelets. Also, he had a DVT in Aug 04 in
his right leg. Could I give him Nattokinase to help his blood not to clot.
We are going to fly on an airplane for 9 hrs on June 1st and I am concerned.
A: What I would encourage you to do is begin thinking outside the traditional medical way of addressing health problems. That is this...medical protocol requires a specific diagnosis for which a specific therapy can be prescribed. Holistic rationale says a person's symptoms or health conditions are the product of an unhealthy body. In other words, he doesn't have only MM or only a clot. Those conditions are the products of poor health. Since his cancer is in remission, now is the opportune time for you to educate yourselves in really healthy nutrition and lifestyle, apply the principles you learn and thereby witness improvement in his symptoms, whatever they may be. Regarding the Nattokinase, I would not use it without the guidance of an alternative physician who understands enzyme therapy.
